Whaaaat?

Liam hasn't wanted to draw or color alot in the past few months until lately. He has been really into the Doodle Board. He has been getting better and better at doing faces and cars. Tonight he said he was gonna draw Daddy and this is what he did. No one helped him- he did this all on his own. I am just so impressed. The thing that got me was how he put everything where it was supposed to go on the face. It's the first time he has done it so well. Oh- and the circle on the top is Daddy's Saints hat.

One Month Update

Yup- it's already been a month! We went to the doctor on Tuesday and she is a whopping 11 pounds and 5 ounces. I asked the doctor what percentile that puts her at and he said it's basically off the charts, but to be fair he also said those numbers don't really mean anything because obviously she had a head start being that she weighed so much when she was born. I looked back at Liam's blog to see how much he weighed. At 6 weeks he weighed 11 pounds and 14 ounces so she is actually growing faster than her brother did which is hard to believe. She will definitely be heavier than that in 2 weeks. She is 22 inches which means she only grew an inch and is in the 90th percentile for height.

She has become more alert and can follow you with her eyes. She is starting to smile as a reaction to you rather than to gas. She is strong as an ox and can lift her head up high when she is lying on her stomach. She has seriously pretty blue eyes. Her hair is a sandy brown color and forms a natural mohawk without any prompting from me (I swear). I especially love that because my hair did the same thing when I was a baby.

If you slip your finger into the palm of her hand she will grip tightly onto it which kinda makes my heart melt. She's also a grunter. Maybe this is a baby thing and I don't remember Liam doing it? Or maybe he was so busy screaming, he didn't have the opportunity? But she grunts all the time and it's hilarious. Sometimes she grunts as a warning that she is about to be fussy and sometimes when she is trying to push out gas and sometimes for no reason at all.

My Little Drummer Boy

In an attempt to entertain Liam, I set up a coloring station with crayons, coloring pencils, and stamps for Liam to get creative. Let's just say I had fun coloring while Liam had fun using the coloring pencils as drum sticks. 45 minutes of drumming and pretending "I Ringo". I keep trying to play up George since guitars are cheaper and don't take up as much space, but he has a special place in his heart for drums.
